Cornugons are some of the top ranking baatezu on Baator. Their appearance is bulky and they look dull witted, which could not be further from the truth. Cornugons haven't climbed up their social scale by accident: deception, treachery and a deep intelligence have gotten them there. They often use their appearance as a tool to seem as though they are no threat.
In the Blood War, cornugons generally command squadrons of abishai or mortal mercenaries into battle against the tanar'ri, but very rarely, they might be used as an elite military band.
