Fell is a fallen dabus. A former servant of the Lady of Pain, he was cast out after becoming a priest of Aoskar, the dead god of portals. As a possible consequence of this, he does not float as most other dabus do. Rather, he walks upon the ground on his feet. He sells tattoos at his parlor, keeping the Nameless One's discarded skins in a back room to use as canvases for his tattoo art.
He can be spoken to directly if the Nameless One knows how to understand the dabus language, or by using Dak'kon or Annah as translators.
Conversation[]
Fell has known the Nameless One well, but refuses to speak in detail about his past. Though he will not say how he has known the Nameless One, he will reveal the last incarnation's cause of death.
With Annah in the party[]
When Annah is brought to Fell's Tattoo Parlor, she exclaims that TNO must be daft to come here. When TNO attempts to speak to Fell, she will still plead with him not to. She is very scared of the Lady of Pain, and since Fell angered her, she avoids him like the plague.
She can be assured that no harm will come to her, increasing her morale, or shrugged off, lowering it.
- Alignment
- Lawful: Promising Annah no harm will come to her at Fell's
- Chaotic: Lying to Annah that no harm will come to her.
After finding the severed arm[]
After finding the Severed Arm (Yours) in the Weeping Stone Catacombs, it can be taken to Fell to see if anything can be discerned from the tattoos on it.
Having Dak'kon translate this conversation is a good idea, since it can be revealed that he doesn't translate everything Fell says (requires 15+ intelligence or having learned the Dabus language).
With 15+ wisdom, TNO can further tell that Dak'kon is lying to him, and can call him on it. (Ordering him to tell TNO lowers his morale, asking nicely does not.) Experience here depends on TNO's reaction and stats:
- 250 XP for losing his temper and demanding answers
- 500 XP for convincing him with 14+ charisma or 15+ intelligence
- 750 XP for convincing him with 13+ wisdom
TNO and Dak'kon can have a further discussion about this topic later (see Dak'kon/Conversation for more details.)
Fell tells of four companions who traveled with the previous incarnation, bound by the symbol of torment, which attracts all tormented souls to the Nameless One:
- "(One unloved who loves one who does not love.)"
- "(One who does not see what others see and sees what others do not.)"
- "(One who is familiar and bound with duty.)"
- "(One who is a slave and his chains are words)"
At the end of the conversation, Fell states that he now remembers these forgotten tattoos, and they can be purchased from him now:
- Tattoo of the Lost Incarnation
- Tattoo of Wasting Darkness
- Tattoo of the Weeping Stones
- Tattoo of Silent Coins
