A lens is a standard piece of equipment for a Modron. Nordom is the only companion in the game who can use them. His crossbows never change, so his lens gear and crossbow bolts are the only way to affect his damage aside from affecting his str. All lenses are weightless, and damage of all bolts is calculated with missile weapon proficiency.
Constructs spawned in the Modron Maze are the only source of lenses aside from one Magnifying Lens which can be purchased from Vrischika at her shop. This is unnecessary, however, as one can be freely obtained from Nordom. See Nordom: Upgrades and Modron Maze: Loot for more information. No other lenses can be bought, but they can all be sold to Vrischika for varying amounts.
"Shiny Lenses" and "Stained Lenses" are the unidentified versions of the Lens of the Bat, and Beer Goggles, respectively. Either will sell for only one copper whether identified or not, so it may not be worth it to the player to identify the items.
