Rune of Torment is a 9th level mage spell that inflicts unbearable torment to creatures in the blast area.
- "Pain, Agony, Suffering, Torment. When the Rune is invoked, even the earth shall resonate its anguish. Torment of the mind. Torment of the body. Torment of the soul. All will be made clear when the Circle is drawn."
Effects
After the Ultimate Circle is inscribed on the ground and the Rune explodes, all hostile creatures in the 50 ft. x 50 ft. area of effect take 30-100 HP damage. There is no saving throw.
Acquisition
This spell cannot be learnt. It can only be cast through the artifact Symbol of Torment. Unlike other such items, it is not consumed upon use, meaning it can be used an unlimited amount of items.
Trivia
There is a scroll of Rune of Torment in the game files, but not in game. It might have been intended to be a learnable spell.
