Sebastion is a mage, of sorts, in the Lower Ward. He hesitates to call himself a mage, although he knows the Art, because he uses it in unconventional ways. He fulfills tasks for any client who comes his way, in an entirely confidential manner.

Conversation

Sebastion can be asked about the Lower Ward, and how it came to be named that. He tells of the "incident", where a rebel, discontented with the city's strict rules confining new citizens to the polluted ward, opened all the portals to the Lower Planes in the ward at once, precipitating a civil war. When asked how the man managed to open all the portals, Sebastion mentions the Shadow-Sorcelled Key, which jogs a memory of the Nameless One being pursued, with a gem seared into his palm, and ultimately killed by the Lady of Pain.

Recovering this memory grants:

  • 500 XP

Sebastion can also be asked where a talking skull might be taken if one were kidnapped. He guesses that Lothar, the Master of Bones, may well have taken Morte to his ramshackle house somewhere in the ward. He is, however, fearful of the other mage, and declines to speak further of him.

Quest

Sebastion entered a contract with an abishai named Grosuk, and is unable to deliver. Grosuk threatened the mage with death should the contract remain unfulfilled. Sebastion asks the Nameless One to kill Grosuk before the abishai kills him.

Grosuk can also be found in the Lower Ward, near the Siege Tower (X=3500 Y=1400). Like all other abishai, he can only be harmed with enchanted weapons or magic. Grosuk grants 8000 XP when killed.

Reward

Alternatively, the Nameless One can tell Grosuk about Sebastion's plan. The abishai then kills Sebastion, making it impossible for the mage to get the +2 charisma reward.
