Wizards of the Coast is a large American gaming company whose flagship product is the trading card game Magic: The Gathering, and has since published other TCGs like Pokémon, Duel Masters, and Kaijudo. Wizards bought TSR Inc in 1997 and thus own the rights to Dungeons & Dragons and, by extension, all its various products and campaign settings like Forgotten Realms and Planescape. Wizards was the distributor of Planescape: Torment, and they also promoted the game and published a companion short story to it called Chronicle of the Plain of Shale in their digital magazine, Dragon+.
