Torment Wiki

Yellow-Fingers is a weaselly Collector in Ragpicker's Square.

Conversation[]

He has no information of value to offer, but he will demand money (repeatedly) for any question asked of him. If asked about Pharod, he will lie; if intimidated, he only knows that he's somewhere Northwest. The conversation options let TNO to allow himself get scammed out of a LOT of money, which can be regained by killing or intimidating him.

If Morte is in the party, he immediately thinks that it's his skull and demands to have it back.

  • Telling him that the skull isn't his and then farewell ends the conversation.
  • Telling him that the skull isn't his and taunting him results in a fight, unless TNO's Strength is enough to intimidate him (verify value).
  • Telling him that he won't get the skull increases Morte's morale.
  • Telling him to take the skull results in Morte attacking Yellow-Fingers (and possibly decreases Morte's morale - verify)
  • Offering to buy the skull off him exasperates Morte.

At the end of every conversation, Yellow-Fingers will pickpocket TNO for 5 coppers. It requires 12+ Intelligence to notice; observing his technique grants 200 XP and +1 Pick Pockets skill. Grabbing his hand as he goes for a second attempt requires 12+ dexterity and choosing "Truth:" here ends in violence. Choosing "Bluff:" or asking what he's doing instead allows TNO to threaten his life for all the money he has; he will give 37 coppers, plus the money he has stolen. He has a separate stack of 2 coppers that he only drops on death.

Note: Yellow-Fingers follows a very different pattern from other Hive pickpocket characters. You need Int to catch him instead of Wis; the XP reward and Pick Pockets bonus for observing him is different; and he has a lot of ability score checks for a character with such a small role.

Alignment[]

  • Lawful: Asking Yellow-Fingers for proof that he owns Morte.
  • Good: Offering to buy Morte off Yellow-Fingers.
  • Chaotic: Bluffing after catching him when he tries to steal from TNO.
  • Good: Giving Yellow-Fingers money after catching him stealing.
